It’s not about her looks, it’s about her voice!

It’s obvious that Adele might not have the “standard” look for what people today have shaped the “perfect” image of what a singer, or even actor, should be. But at the end of the day, Adele has the voice to knock anybody’s socks off. Shouldn’t that be the more important aspect? She has raw talent, that’s what people should focus their attention on. Not the negatives.

The Chanel boss was asked for his thoughts about female singers of the moment when guest-editing Metro New York, and while he revealed that he’s not a huge fan of girl-of-the-moment Lana Del Rey he also dropped the offensive Adele bombshell.

“I prefer Adele and Florence Welch [to Del Rey],” said the fashion icon. “But as a modern singer, she is not bad. The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.”

Adele has been asked about her weight before many of times. But she always is positive about her image and has stated that she wouldn’t change for anyone. And that’s the way it should be. She’s beautiful just the way she is and the voice tops off the whole package.

If her weight was such an issue, she wouldn’t be gracing the covers to magazines like Vogue. Which means some fashion types obviously aren’t concerned with her size.

I love that way that she knows she’s not the “average” image, but she embraces it and keeps positive. She might not be a size two but that’s not what makes Adele. Strong “pipes” and powerful songs are what captivates her audience. Just the way it should be. Power to you Adele!
