If you watch The Voice you’ve noticed [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Cee Lo Green[/lastfm]‘s furry lap accessory this season.  Let’s find out a little more about that adorable white ball of fur.

For some unexplainable reason, it appears that Cee Lo decided what The Voice really needed this season was a mascot.  Do you remember the first time you saw Cee Lo obsessively stoking the feline while discussing the singers?  It was a little weird, but now I look forward to the Dr. Evil moments.

Apparently the cat is rented.  Sources told E! News, “Purrfect is a rented cat that happens to be a rescue.”

“It was Cee Lo’s idea to have a cat this season; however, due to his travel schedule, he is not able to care for an animal full-time.  Cee Lo liked the idea of working with a rescue as he loves animals.”

The beautiful white Persian has been getting lots of attention since popping up in Cee Lo’s lap as “cat in residence” on The Voice.  Her popularity has spread online to her own Purrfect The Cat Facebook page where she lists her interests as fish, diamonds and cashmere.

The feline also has a Twitter account where she lists her location as @ceelogreen’s lap.  Too cute!

Green told USA Today that she is his Los Angeles companion when he’s away from his family in Atlanta.

So far the cat has only appeared during short interview segments on the show, but Cee Lo says to be looking for more Purrfect appearances on future episodes, maybe even on the upcoming live shows starting April 2nd.

“She’s going through training,” he says.  “Hopefully, she’ll be prepared by then to come out to the main stage and sit with me in the chair, which she likes.”
