For the few past months [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Adam Levine[/lastfm] brushed off the rumors that there was trouble brewing in his relationship with girlfriend Anne Vyalitsyna.  Today Anne V confirms that the whispers weren’t wrong after all.

After two years together, Levine and Vyalitsyna are calling it quits.  Anne V is the one who actually made it official by releasing this statement:

“Adam and I have decided to separate in an amicable and supportive manner,” her rep tells People.  “We still love and respect each other as friends.  I wish him all the best.”

So what went wrong between the super-sexy couple?

According to US Weekly the two had a big fight leading to a breakup in January because she didn’t think he was treating her well.  A rep for Levine later said the rumors of a split were “100 percent not true”.

Levine even recently used the words “happy” and “in love” when talking about his relationship with Anne.

Hmmm, maybe she wasn’t feeling the say way.
