Poison frontman Bret Michaels is venturing outside of music for a project that involves one of his other loves, pets!

When at home on his ranch near Phoenix, Arizona Michaels enjoys spending time with his German shepherds.  He decided to team up with PetSmart to create the Bret Michaels Pets Rock Collection.  Now available in stores, the collection includes toys, clothes, collars, leashes, bowls and beds.  All the items have a rock and roll type flare, featuring skulls, flames and even designs based on shirts Bret Michaels has actually worn.

Michaels daughters helped with the designs.  He said of the process, “I said, ‘OK, I need help from my daughters to see what they think will look good if someone has a smaller dog’. And then what we have to do is two things: The combination of getting my daughters Raine and Jorja involved and also at the same time, getting PetSmart to step in and make it durable and safe for pets, and easy to put on.”

Gema, my Italian greyhound, loves her pink but when I’m hanging out with the guys I need something with a little more edge. And this pet line might just do it.
