Jennifer Lopez will not be returning for season 12 of American Idol. The day after Steven Tyler announced that he is leaving, Lopez has now made it official. After two years of judging the competition she says she’s quitting the show and moving on.

She made the announcement this morning on the Ryan Seacrest radio show.

“I honestly feel like the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I do,” JLo said.

So now what? Two out of the three judges are out — again.

It’s still unclear of Randy Jackson, the only original judge still hanging on to his seat, will remain.  There have been very loud rumors he may be replaced by Adam Lambert, and now we hear there are serious discussions underway with Mariah Carey to be an Idol judge.
