A rare copy of the Beatles first album released in the US ‘Introducing…The Beatles’ recently popped up on eBay. Don’tcha just love the internet? A collectors dream come true. Soon thousand dollar bids were being placed just to have a shot at owning this piece of history.

The album hit store shelves in America is early 1964, containing their debut single, ‘Love Me Do’,  ’PS, I Love You’, and my favorite party song, ‘Twist and Shout.’ Seriously, when I hear that song I can’t help but dance on the closest piece of furniture.

Why so rare? When the album was originally pressed they ran into some production problems when the back cover didn’t show up on 6,000 copies. A smaller number were eventually released due to the error.

The winning final bid was just shy of $15,000, going to a private collector. What a bargain!
