When the name Chris Brown comes up, there is usually a negative connotation attached to it. However, that hasn’t stopped the company, Wilhelmina International from embracing the controversial singer.
Brown has signed on to the agency to work in the artist management division in hopes of landing endorsement deals, collaborations, and product lines in the fashion and beauty world. According to Brown, “Art and style has always played a significant role in my life– it’s evolved with me throughout my career.”
The baggage that comes with Brown is not a concern for Taylor Hendrich, director of Wilhelminia’s men’s division, commenting, “Chris Brown is a… multifaceted artist with a unique take on style, and we are excited to translate and extend his brand.”
After being condemned by several music industry figures and corporate partners following his 2009 altercation involving Rihanna, looks like Brown is working his way back into the good graces of the biz. But do you think this was a wise decision for Wilhelmia? and would you buy a Chris Brown fragrance or clothing?
