If you think having a nice car and a brand new iPhone is enough to impress someone, think again.
According to a new study by Match.com, the number one thing men and women judge potential partners on is… teeth! The last thing you’d be judged on is what electronic devices you carry around.
What else tops the list? Grammar! 55% of men judge on grammar, while 69% of women judge men for their grammar. Other common judgements were made on hair, clothes, tattoos, and nails from both men and women.
Only 10% of women and 9% of men made judgements on phones. The other least judged things were your car, shoes, and accent.
The survey, also, delved into what singles consider “must-haves” and “deal breakers.” Here is what they concluded:
65% would not date someone with credit card debt greater than $5,000.
49% would consider a relationship with someone who lived with their parents.
42% would not date a virgin.
38% would cancel a date because of something they found while doing internet research of their date.
Both men and women value someone they can trust and confide in, someone who treats them with respect and a good sense of humor as top “must haves.”
