Lady Gaga was recently forced to cancel her Born This Way Ball tour due to a hip injury and impending surgery. (That story here.)

Incredibly, the selfless star didn’t let her severe injury stop her from visiting one Little Monster, Kayleigh Gurbynski, a five-year-old with a life-threatening heart ailment.

Though Gaga’s fan’s illness makes traveling difficult, Kayleigh still traveled all the way from Wisconsin with her parents to see Lady Gaga perform in Chicago, with the hopes of meeting Lady Gaga.

The Chicago tour was one of the first to be postponed once word got out that Lady Gaga was unable to perform, and it was clear that the dedicated singer was upset to disappoint her fans.

To the fans in Chicago Detroit & Hamilton I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. Im devasted & sad—

Luckily for Kayleigh, Gaga reached out to Kayleigh’s parents and arranged a one-on-one get-together with her.

“It just goes to show that no matter what you say about some of these high-falutin artists, many of them do have huge hearts and put them to good use sometimes, and that happened here. She did the right thing, and she did it because she wanted to do it. I just can’t say enough about her for doing that.”
