After winning “Album of the Year” at the Grammys for her album, “21” and an Oscar for her James Bond theme song “Skyfall,” Adele has been getting pressured to release new tunes, but that’s not going to happen just yet.

She told the Daily Mail she wouldn’t release any new songs until she has “something to sing about.” (quote via Yahoo News).

And just like her fans, she wants to be writing and singing new music, but she doesn’t know what to write about just yet.

“They’ll come when they’re ready and when I’ve got something to sing about,” said Adele.

It’s possible Adele could be waiting on a special development before investing all of her time into new lyrics. After the Oscars ceremony, Adele said, “Maybe I’ll do a HBO special like Beyonce did.”

Adele has always been very private; she even cut ties with her father for giving a candid interview on their relationship. Given this history, it’s no surprise offers started coming in within 24 hours.

“As soon as Adele said she could be interested in a show, TV producers were compiling suggestions,’ a source told The Mirror earlier this week. “This will be a major coup for anyone to get. Adele hasn’t done any major interviews for a long time.”

For now, we’ll all just continue to wait; either for new songs or for a new documentary, but either way, we’re definitely waiting.
