The Girl Scouts don’t want Honey Boo Boo to sell their cookies!
The pint-sized reality star, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, posted an “It’s Cookie Time” ad on her page, and was selling the treats through Facebook–but the Girl Scout organization said that put a stop to it. Why? Because the pageant princess has hundreds of thousands of fans online, and the organization deemed it unfair!
Sorry if you were planning on buying some Samoas or Thin Mints from Honey Boo Boo… but you can always purchase some from the any of the other non-famous Girl Scouts who have to stand out in front of their local grocery store to make a sale.
A rep for the Girl Scouts tells TMZ that “they contacted her site’s administrator and explained online selling is off-limits, because it defeats the whole purpose of selling the cookies — to teach girls all sorts of things, including goal setting [and] people skills.”
Honey Boo Boo’s people took down the ads, but not before she sold a ton of cookies–which she was reportedly doing for a friend.
