Not only do the vampire family the Cullens refuse to drink human blood for the good of humanity in the “Twilight
saga, but the family also actually tries to give back to the community in real life.  Today, Dr. and Mrs. Cullen (played by Peter Facinelli and Elizabeth Reaser respectively), Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) and Rosalie (Nikki Reed) showed up at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, California today.  The kids were expecting a special film screening of the final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn Part 2, and instead got to see four stars.

It’s always nice to see stars doing good deeds.  The stars proceeded to take pictures with the kids, gave out signed DVDs of the movie, and talked to the families of the children in the hospital.  The “Twilight” stars enjoy a link with visiting and spending time at children hospitals, because according to Facinelli, “we went and gave our time at the Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge and it feels good to be able to give back…I know a lot of these kids are going through a hard time and anything you can do to put a smile on their face or make their day better, gives them positive energy and keep fighting the good fight to get better.”  Facinelli took his own words to heart by cracking jokes and making the kids feel at ease in the presence of celebrities.  “We want them to just be in the moment and have them try to forget about anything that’s bad,” said Rathbone.

We love it when celebrities honestly try to share their good fortune and spread good karma.  This calls for a celebration!  The last “Twilight” film comes out on DVD at midnight, so pick up a copy and hopefully feel similarly inspired to give back to your community.
