Alan Thicke, former Growing Pains star and father of singer Robin Thicke, is launching a reality show!

Today is calling it a “reality sitcom,” and it is set to premiere on April 16 on the TV Guide Network.  The show dubbed Unusually Thicke will follow the lives of 67-year-old Alan, his third wife Tanya and 16-year-old son Carter.

In a statement the actor said, “‘Unusually Thicke’ combines my two favorite things: family … and laughing at my family.”  He adds, “This series is my foray into the ‘reality-ish’ television world where viewers will meet the lovable, unpredictable, and often challenging people who live with the real Jason Seaver. We take our relatable real-life stories and blow them up to amuse and amaze, tossing in a handful of celebrity friends along the way.”

The celebrities who will appear on this semi-scripted show include son Robin Thicke, John Stamos, David Hasselhoff, and Bob Saget.

So what’s real and what’s scripted?  You’ll just have to sit back and be the judge in April.  Until then, you can watch all of the celebrities and antics below on the show’s trailer:
