Ben Stiller is opening up after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. He went on the Howard Stern Show to talk about it. The Guardian reports that the actor was diagnosed with “’immediately aggressive’ prostate cancer two years ago, and has had surgery to treat it.”
Stiller, 50, says “It came out of the blue for me. I had no idea.” He says he went to a bunch of different doctors following his diagnosis, and eventually had the prostate surgically removed. Now, Stiller is cancer-free but gets tested regularly. He hopes that his story will inspire others to get check ups, especially younger people.
