There are many things for adults to do on Halloween in Sacramento, but what about the kiddos? As fun as trick-or-treating can be, especially knowing you get some “rights” over the candy, sometimes it’s nice to try new ways to celebrate Halloween with the youngters. Join the Skeleton Crew for a family-friendly Halloween train ride along the Sacramento River! Don’t worry, it’s not frightful! Each weekend is specially themed with Superheroes & Villains – October 15 & 16, Princesses & Pirates – October 22 & 23, and Witches & Wizards – October 29 & 30

Get ghoulish and golfed up with 8 holes of indoor glow-in-the-dark monster-themed mini golf. Golf in costume for a chance to win prizes!

Bring your children (ages 3-10) ready for a spook-tacular adventure in the El Dorado Hills community pool. Children will be able to hunt for their perfect pumpkin in this heated pool, as well as decorate it and take it home! They will also be given a Trick-or-Treat goodie bag!

Various businesses throughout Old Sacramento will be handing out candy (last year 40 businesses participated)! Start at the Old Sacramento Schoolhouse Museum to grab a map and bag for your Old Sac trick-or-treating adventure!
When: Saturday, October 29; 12-4pm
Where: Downtown Mall and Old Sacramento
Kids 12 and under can trick-or-treat through Sunrise mall without being frightened because no masks or excessive facial makeup will be allowed. Participants can pick up their trick-or-treating bag at Customer Service on Halloween from 4-6pm. Supplies are limited, so get there early!
