Marilyn Monroe’s Iconic Dress Fetches Top Dollar At Auction

The iconic dress worn by Marilyn Monroe when she famously serenaded President John F. Kennedy sold at auction for nearly $5 million dollars. The dress warn at Kennedy’s 45th birthday gala, was a “sheer, flesh-colored dress that sparkled with over 2,500 hand-stitched crystals.”  Her gown was so skin-tight that Marilyn is said to have gone commando, having to be sewn into it.
