Nowadays, it may be a bad idea to react the famous song “12 Days Of Christmas”. At least for you wallet.PNC Wealth Management every year compiles a Christmas Price Index. They have calculated that the cost of all items, 364 of them repeated in the song, will cost approximately $101,119! That is a 4.4% increase from last year’s study. If you break it down, for over $100,000 you will have 12 drummers drumming, 22 pipers piping, 30 lords-a-leaping, 36 ladies dancing, 40 maids-a-milking, 42 swans-a-swimming, 42 geese-a-laying, 40 gold rings, 36 calling birds, 30 French hens, 22 turtle doves, and 12 partridges in pear trees. If you want just one set of the items in the song, it will cost just $24,263 this year. Which is just a 3.5% increase from last year. Hopefully, this doesn’t ruin you Holiday Spirit by reminding you the increasing cost of everything. I wonder if pear trees are sold at the dollar store?
