Disney Could Make $50 Million Over Carrie Fisher’s Death

Before I start, know that this is a common practice in the motion picture industry. This is nothing new, or sketchy.

Disney, if they file a claim, could stand to net $50 million over the death of actress Carrie Fisher. A life-insurance policy was taken out on Fisher, and other stars in the Star Wars franchise, because their death could negatively impact theĀ films.

The policy Disney had on Fisher is worth a reported $50 million. According to Insurance Insider, Lloyd’s of London is bracing for Disney’s cash-in. But for now, no one is commenting.
