Disney, if they file a claim, could stand to net $50 million over the death of actress Carrie Fisher. A life-insurance policy was taken out on Fisher, and other stars in the Star Wars franchise, because their death could negatively impact the films.
The policy Disney had on Fisher is worth a reported $50 million. According to Insurance Insider, Lloyd’s of London is bracing for Disney’s cash-in. But for now, no one is commenting.
