Houston police were excited to say they had a drug bust of the year, until they found out it wasn’t.
Ross Leabeau was given a sock full of cat litter by his father in order to stop the car windows from fogging up, but after being pulled over, a cop thought it was something different.
The man was arrested on charges of drug possession! The sock held about half a pound of litter, but police thought it was half a pound of methamphetamine.
Once the litter was further tested, it was then realized that the sock wasn’t full of crystal meth, but cat litter. (Really!?)
Lebeau is demanding an apology from the police force after being in jail for 3 days. He claims he missed work and has felt lots of public embarrassment.
