The fight over a proposed Elk Grove Casino is growing more heated following attack ads from little known Sacramento group, the Council on Prosperity and Accountability.
According to the Sacramento Bee, the group aired a 30 seconds spot on KXTV-ABC 10 last weekend that claimed the casino would cause a large rise in drugs, prostitution, bankruptcies, and other disasters in the area.
While the group claims to be fighting to protect Sacramento families, they actually appears to be connected to the owner of two card clubs in Sacramento who would be facing competition from the incoming casino.
With a thousand jobs in Elk Grove at stake, this issue is likely to come down to the voters. For more information, check here.
