Commuters on Highway 80 have grown accustomed to seeing the flat farmlands surrounding the Yolo Bypass, but many have been shocked to see what the rain has left in its wake.
According to the Sacramento Bee, the reason for the sudden appearance of sea around the bypass is the result of opening the Sacramento Weir. This led to the Sacramento flood plain filling with water, giving drivers a surprising ocean view.
Though this has been met with confusion, few can deny how pretty it now looks when travelling over the causeway.
