There are so many apps that were made to make our lives easier in some way. You can download an app to help you do anything from finding a relationship, to buying a used refrigerator. Now, you can use an app to help you adopt a child, called Adoptly.
Adoptly is being referred to as a Tinder for child adoption, according to The Verge. On the app, you can view several pictures of children up for adoption, and use the swiping mechanism popularized by Tinder to decide if you like the child or not. Just like the Tinder app, if you end up making a match with a child, you are then able to chat and see if you are compatible.
Alex Nawrocki, the co-founder of Adoptly, said
“We’re not trying to gamify or make fun of this experience. The adoption industry at large is a little bit underserved by the tech industry. We saw this unique opportunity to disrupt it, particularly when you’re talking about online adoption.”
A commercial for Adoptly shows a happy couple swiping left and right to different children. It ends by saying, “Parenthood is now just a swipe away.”
