Sargento Foods Inc. has stated that certain packets of Sargento Cheese’s Ultra Thin Sliced Longhorn Colby and Chef Blends Shredded Nacho & Taco Cheese may have been contaminated with  Listeria monocytogenes, according to CNN.

Listeriosis is an infection that is usually caused by contamination of foods, and can seriously affect pregnant women, as well as older people.

If you have any Sargento Cheese at home, the company is urging you to go online and check the package’s UPC code to see if the package may have been affected. To check, just click HERE.
