200,000 people had been evacuated from the city of Oroville because of the fear that the water in Lake Oroville could spill over the dam and into the city. This caused many people to have to leave their homes, including a little boy who had to evacuate on his birthday.
Officer Callahan thought that the boy shouldn’t have to spend his special day in a shelter, so he decided to do something about it. Callahan a few other officers showed up to the shelter in Chico, and brought a cake, a balloon, a Captain America Figure, and a song.
“I’ve got a son that’s 2-and-a-half, and this young man is turning 3,” Callahan said, according to SF Gate.
Someone who happened to see the celebration took a video of it, and you can see it HERE.
