American Girl has been extremely successful with its collection of unique dolls with individual stories and personalities. However, they’re adding a very special new doll to their upcoming release.
According to the Huffington Post, American Girl is releasing it’s first ever boy doll this year! The doll, named Logan Everett, is a drummer from Nashville, Tennessee, who makes music with his friend, singer-songwriter Tenney Grant. Both dolls will become available this Thursday (Feb. 16th).
Speaking about the upcoming addition, Julie Parks, the director of public relations for the company, has said:
“Adding a boy to our lineup has been a number one request for a very, very, very long time.”
She added on that she thought both boys and girls will love adding Logan into their playtime because of his dynamic personality and exciting story line.
Other dolls being released this year will include American Girl’s “Girl of the Year” doll, Gabriela McBride, who uses spoken word poetry to manage her stutter; Z Yang, a Korean-American that’s made appearances on the American Girl YouTube channel; a Hawaiian character named Nanea living during World War II; and a reintroduction of the classic American Girl, Felicity.
