According to Delish, Barrymore incorporated a lot more filling protein into her diet which caused her to easily drop 20 pounds.
She explained that following her divorce from her third husband, Will Kopelman, she slowly began gaining weight during the difficult period in her life that followed.
However, she also explained that she didn’t want to crash diet. Speaking of her weight loss she said:
‘The weight loss was subtle and un-gimmicky.”
She also believed that viewers of Santa Clarita Diet will see her gradual weight loss as the season progresses.
