Backstreet Boys Say They Passed On ‘Tearin’ Up My Heart,’ Then It Was Offered To *NSYNC

The song that put *NSYNC on the map was originally offered to The Backstreet Boys – and they passed on it. Nick Carter will tell you all about it…

In an interview with EW.com, The Backstreet Boys were asked:

“What’s the *NSYNC song you wish you had recorded?”

Then Nick Carter responded with a bombshell:

““Tearin’ Up My Heart.” We actually turned it down because we didn’t have time to record it or something. We should have taken it.”

“Tearin’ Up My Heart” was the first of MANY hits for *NSYNC. We don’t even want to think what the world would have been like if BSB did record the song and there was no *NSYNC.
