Everyone knows the Brawny man as the famous lumberjack that’s graced the packaging of its paper towels brand for years, but he’s been replaced for the month of March by a woman.
CBS News has reported that the paper towel maker is temporarily replacing their well known mascot with four female versions in celebration of Women’s History Month.
The paper towels with this packaging are only being sold at Walmart and are part of Georgia Pacific’s “Strength Has No Gender” campaign (George Pacific is the owner of Brawny Paper Towels).
According to CBS News, the four women being depicted are:
“Dr. Anna Kornbrot, an oral surgeon who was the first woman to graduate from Columbia College; Vernice Armour, a Marine and the first black female combat pilot in the U.S. armed forces; Brittany Wenger, a self-taught software programmer who created a method of detecting breast cancer; and Patty Lopez, an engineer with seven patents to her name”
