Gold Ridge Elementary School in Folsom no longer allows kids to play tag during recess times. The school says it comes after children were getting too rough, according to The Sacramento Bee.
It’s not just tag that’s being banned, but also any games with physical touch.
The school’s principal, David Frankel, put the new rule into effect when a couple of fourth and fifth graders had been getting too rough.
The district released a statement that it is not uncommon for a school to enact new recess rules in response to playground behaviors.
