Watch out! There’s a new social media “prank” going around telling people to say “Siri 108” when talking to their phones, according to ABC 10.
The issue is that when someone says “Siri, 108” it calls the police immediately, which can tie up police phone lines. This can be VERY problematic for someone in a genuine emergency who needs to contact the police.
If you do say it to Siri, she’ll respond with “Calling emergency services in 5 seconds.”
Obviously this a trend taking it a step too far, so make sure no one is spreading this around!
