United is really having a bad week. After a video surfaced of a passenger being forcibly ejected from an overbooked flight, the companies stock plummeted and the social media backlash has been swift and severe.
The CEO is on his third apology, none of which have been very effective, and Mashable reports that everyone who witnessed the incident in person has been refunded.
Now TMZ is reporting that David Dao, the passenger, has filed for evidence preservation. The filing is usually the first step in a lawsuit. It is expected that the man will sue United, the city of Chicago, and the individuals involved.
This story is just getting started.
