Adidas Apologizes After Email Saying “Congrats, you survived the Boston Marathon!”

Adidas has publicly apologized for sending an email to the runners who completed the Boston Marathon saying. “Congrats, you survived the Boston Marathon!”

In a report by BBC, the major company admitted that its choice of words were “insensitive” and that they’re “incredibly sorry” for the mishap. This refers to the terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon back in 2013, where 3 people were killed and 260 were injured.

At least 2 racers from the 2013 marathon are reported to have participated in this year’s marathon.
