Diet beverages are usually seen as being healthier. That’s what they’re for right? Well a new study found that many diet sweeteners can triple your risk of heartache and dementia, according to Daily Mail.
The study included slmost 4,400 adults, and the study found that adults who drink one diet beverage daily were 3 times more likely to have a stroke or develop dementia. A previous study also found that drinking diet beverages over sugary ones did not aid in weight loss.
Researchers aren’t saying that you should just go drink a sugary drink instead either, and that in order to be healthiest you should stop drinking syrup-y beverages all together.
