Within the past year, 7 faculty members have been investigated for sexual misconduct in Elk Grove Unified School District. The most recent investigation began yesterday at Sheldon High School, where a teacher was removed for sexual misconduct.
The school has released statements to parents assuring them that they will soon have answers for this ongoing investigation. In the meantime, the school as well as officers have decided to not release the names of the suspected teacher, nor the victim.
“I want to be aware if someone is under investigation or if there’s alleged behavior going on so I can either talk to my kids or make them aware,” parent Kevin Dearing said. Elk Grove has the biggest district in this district with over 60,000 students. District members continue to tell parents that their childrens safety is a priority.
