Study Finds Beauty Sleep Is Real, And If You Don’t Get Enough It Can Make You Ugly

We’ve all heard that you need “beauty sleep” to look and feel better, but science has pushed it to a new level.

After a couple of sleep experiments done by researchers found that not only does sleep make you feel better and look better, but people will want to be around you more.

The experiment asked people to sleep for only 4 hours two nights in a row, and thenĀ get two full nights of sleep after. Strangers to the people in the experiment were asked to look at the tired faces and rate how likely they’d be to talk to them.

They found that when they faces looked tired, they were less likely to want to engage in conversation or even be around the person with a lack of sleep. However, when the same person’s face looked brighter from being well rested, they were more likely to have a stranger want to talk to them.

So really, if you want to look your best and meet new people, catch up on your beauty sleep.
