‘America’s Got Talent’ Contestant Suing After “Public Humiliation”

According to an article written by The Wrap, A women is claiming that America’s Got Talent host, Tyra Banks, physically manipulated and verbally abused her daughter, who the lawsuit is referring to as ‘Mary’.

A lawsuit was filled against Banks.

The women and her husband were auditioning for the show performing a song about motherhood. The women says that song held emotional importance with her young daughter.

The lawsuit goes on to say that the women and her family were flown out to Los Angles to perform the song for a taped audience and were publicly humiliated by the judges as well as a member of the audience.

Also according to the Lawsuit the women’s daughter was told to act “embarrassed and annoyed” by her family’s performance.

Allegedly Banks

“physically manipulated and verbally abused Mary,” shaking her shoulder and pulling her hair back. The model/TV judge also allegedly “insinuated that Mary was accidentally conceived, made fun of the performance and ridiculed [the song] in front of Mary, all in front of active cameras that were filming Mary.”

The family reached out to the show asking that their performance not be televised.
