Sacramento Is Getting It’s First Olympic Sized Swimming Pool

Sacramento Is Getting It’s First Olympic Sized Swimming Pool in North Natomas, and will be part of a new community center and 3 pool aquatic complex, according to Sacramento Bee.

The new facility is expected to be able to hold 200 to 400 people at a time, which would make it a huge facility. It’s to be located around the North Natomas Regional Park.

Most Natomas school swim meets at the college and high school level have to be pushed into neighboring Davis, Roseville, and Folsom cities so they can use the full 50-meter pools rather than the half-size 25 meter pools.

The new facility would also have water slides and other play structures for children, as well as cabanas that can be rented out for use.

The new complex doesn’t have an open date yet, but we’re excited to see it.
