iPhone Is Getting A “Do Not Disturb While Driving” Mode

Apple iPhones will soon be getting a feature similar to the current “Do Not Disturb” feature, but for driving, ABC 10 reports.

The update is scheduled for this fall, and would be used by anyone while on the road trying to avoid looking at their phone. The feature will cause the screen to go dark, and mute notifications so that you won’t see or hear anything that comes up.

It even has a built in feature that will allow your phone to automatically reply when someone calls or texts you. Rather than a voicemail or just not texting them back, the phone will tell them that you are driving and will get back to them when you can.

The new feature is supposed to help with texting while driving and the accidents that it causes. Currently texting while driving is illegal in 46 states.
