Fecal Bacteria Found In Starbucks Iced Drinks

You may enjoy Starbucks iced coffee, but it’s got a disgusting secret ingredient you probably didn’t know about…..

Testing conducted by BBC’s Watchdog¬†found “varying levels” of ¬†fecal bacteria in the iced beverages served at Starbucks, Costa Coffee, and Caffe Nero, SF Gate has reported.

And yes, fecal bacteria is exactly what it sounds like…….

This type of bacteria can cause diarrhea when ingested, and can be a sign of even worse germs hiding in the coffee giant’s drinks, such as Norovirus, Salmonella, and even Hepatitis A.

The presence of this bacteria also implies that baristas aren’t maintaining health standards, such as not washing their hands frequently enough.

The ice used in the drinks was also tested for all three companies, and a significant portion of each company’s ice samples were “found to be contaminated with bacteria found in feces.”

So the next time you want to enjoy a refreshing ice coffee at Starbucks, you may want to think again.
