Fireworks Go On Sale Today

The fourth of July is coming up on Tuesday and there are some things you need to know before you buy!  Fireworks go on sale today at noon. Officials recommend you use only “Safe and Sane” fireworks, purchased from a licensed booth and bearing the State Fire Marshal seal.

And, here’s the big one! The ONLY time that you’re allowed to use fireworks, where legal, is from noon today (Wednesday, June 28), through 12.01 a.m. on July 5th.

According to SacBee, Fireworks are banned in:

  • El Dorado County
  • Unincorporated Placer County
  • Unincorporated Nevada County
  • Grass Valley
  • Davis
  • Granite Bay
  • Auburn
  • Loomis
  • Meadow Vista
  • Colfax
