Chocolate Milk Will No Longer Be Served In San Francisco Schools

Almost every child looks forward to chocolate milk during lunch time, well not anymore. According to Foodbeast, starting in the fall chocolate milk will be banned in all elementary and middle schools and in the spring it will be banned for high school students.

San Francisco Schools have decided to ban chocolate milk because they are trying to reduce the calorie intake for students.¬†Getting rid of the milk cuts the students’ calorie intake by at least 35 calories, and sugar intake by 10 grams.

Over the years, San Francisco has really been trying to crack down on unhealthy food by no longer serving sugary snacks and sodas and candy not being an option in the vending machines.
