Sacramento Light Rail Offering Free Rides For Students & Seniors

Driving in the busy Sacramento traffic can be an unbearable task at times; that is where public transportation could be of help.

According to The Sacramento Bee, the Sacramento Regional Transit Agency just announced that students can ride free for the first day of school to allow new riders an opportunity to experience the light rail. Seniors over the age of 62 and anyone disabled will be able to ride for free on National Senior Citizen’s Day on August 21st. The usual fare cost $1.35 per ride for students and seniors, or $3.50 for an all day ticket.
