One of the Sacramento Kings newest players has been arrested.
Zach Randolph, who signed with the Kings in July was arrested in Los Angeles Wednesday night (8/9) for drug possession with intent to sell, according to CBS Sacramento.
The Los Angeles Police Department reports that Randolph was arrested when police were investigating a large crowd that were smoking and blocking the road in a public housing area. The crowd became unruly, damaging several police cars.
Randolph was arrest along with three other men after he tried to run from the area. According to TMZ, Randolph allegedly had around 2 pounds of pot in a backpack when he was arrested.
He has since been released on bond.
The 36-year-old, two-time NBA All-Star just signed a two-year, $24 million contract with the Kings.
