The first day of September is here, and that means starting today, Hidden Falls Regional Park in Placer County is implementing a new parking system. The county says the new system will help alleviate congestion and give people plenty of parking during peak times and during the nice weather. So, you will now have to reserve a parking space and pay the $8 fee on weekends, holidays and some Fridays. But, to allow people time to get used to the system, fees won’t start until October 15th.
Non-holiday Mondays through Thursdays will still be free and parking will be first come, first serve. You’ll also be able to pay for a half day, just $4, if you arrive at the park after 2:30. The website will have a calendar so you can check availability too and allow you to make a reservation up to 60 days out with a guaranteed parking spot for the full day.
