Now that Amazon has control of Whole Foods, the changes are coming quickly. Here’s what has been happening and what else we can expect, according to Business Insider:
-They’ve already cut prices, up to 40% in some cases.
-Amazon Echo and Amazon Dots are on sale at some grocery locations.
-The current loyalty shopper program is going away. Amazon Prime members will be getting special discounts.
-Whole Food groceries are now available on Amazon.com, AmazonFresh, Prime Pantry and Prime Now.
-They’ve banned brand representatives from visiting stores to promote or check up on product displays.
-Don’t expect to see as many local products. The decisions on what items will be carried are now being made a corporate, not local level.
-Amazon deliver lockers are popping up in stores now.
-Looking for a job? They’re hiring more workers to help implement the changes.
