— UPDATED 9:00 A.M. — Here is the latest on the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.
The massacre happened Sunday night at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. At least 58 people are dead and more than 515 injured after a man opened fire during a Jason Aldean concert on the final night of the three day Route 91 Harvest festival. Police say the shooter, Nevada resident 64-year-old Stephen Paddock opened fire on the crowd from the 32nd floor of his hotel room at the Mandalay Bay hotel around 10:00 p.m. Police say Paddock was found dead, of apparent suicide, after they breached the room in the hotel where he had a stash of ‘arsenal’ of weapons used during the massacre.

Police searched the home he shared with his roommate or companion Marilou Danley, who was initially called a person of interest, but at this hour have found nothing to indicate why he would do this. They have collected a number of items they will continue to search. Police located Danley early this morning, who is out of the country and after questioning her believe she is no longer involved in the shooting.
ISIS is claiming responsibility for the attack, saying the shooter converted to Islam months ago, but there has been no evidence to support that.
