Costco Selling Year’s Worth Of Emergency Food For $1,000

Costco is offering a “1 Year Emergency Food Kit” to doomsday preppers for $999.99.

The food in the kit is said to stay good for up to 25 years, and includes 6,200 servings of food – enough to last one person for an entire year.

What you get is; 100 cans for food including wheat, rice, milk, granola, fruits, vegetables and meats. The package also includes pantry items like salt, sugar and flour.

It doesn’t sound all that appetizing, but is a great idea for those who live in an area with an elevated risk of a natural disaster.

“The idea came about making a great starter kit for a family who wanted to prepare for any kind of disaster. This is a great value with shipping included,” a company representative told The Detroit Free Press.
