Summer movie season is a great time to see big action-packed epic films. So why not see these films on the biggest screen possible. The Downtown Esquire IMAX Theater is the only theater in Sacramento showcasing the large format films. If you haven't see a flick in IMAX you really are missing the bigger picture. How about a scroll? Hiking is fun and easy. Thankfully, the region has so many great trails to visit. For example, Hagan Park, Dry Creek, and The Oak Nature trail near Folsom Lake. So many great places to lance up those boats and explore. I know Sacramento is not Hollywood but that does not mean we can't have our own Film Community. The city has two upcoming festival: Sacramento French Film Festival (June 15 to June 24, 2012) & 8th Annual Sacramento Japanese Film Festival (July 13 to July 15, 2012). Children watch Citta, a 33-year-old female elephant reacting after she chose a melon above a sign indicating a win for the Poland football team at Krakow zoo on June 6, 2012 at the zoo in the southern Polish city of Krakow.
